    Actually, I think 'KFC' is neither an acronym nor an abbreviation. I think it's a vain attempt at trying to fool the masses into think that the muck they sell is slightly MORE healthy than deep-fried chicken coated in batter. Tastes good all the same...

    Yup, basically it was an attempt to remove the word 'fried' from their marketing content, and thus from the public's awareness.

    By and large this has, surprisingly enough, worked.
