Gmail deletes trash

Gmail has had an update, which doesn’t seem to have done a whole lot. They’ve added a Google Talk advert on the left under the menu & renamed the ‘Move to trash’ drop-down menu item to ‘Delete’.

    Same minor updates here. Also, there was a link for a while telling me they now scan attachments for viruses.

    The other new feature, I just noticed, is "Web Clips" at the top of the blue pane. Looks like you can add your own RSS feeds, with items randomly? appearing. Also will show sponsored links.

    I heard that that was coming, but I'm still not seeing that one in my inbox. I must be on a different server to you.

    Also I noted that they've removed the google talk promo and renamed trash 'Deleted Items' and renamed the 'Delete' menu item to 'Move to Deleted Items'.

    Sorry for all the comments... Trash vs Deleted Items changes if you change language from English US to English UK. I changed to English US to get the option to use additional email addresses with Gmail.

    Ahh, that would be it. Typical, roll stuff out to the US 1st!

    I'm changing back to US, I want the bonus features, I can put up with the bad spelling :)
